In the wild parrots live in flocks, which is similar to humans living with their families. Being a part of a flock is very important to both wild & captive parrots. They eat together, groom each other, play together, and care for each other when one is sick. Quality of life in captivity is greatly improved when the flock approach is taken. In this photo you can see these two macaws enjoying some quality time together in their outdoor aviary.
